Grundschule Am Bühlbusch

This project involved capturing the existing conditions of a Primary School in Verl, Germany, using advanced 3D scanning technology. A high-resolution point cloud of the entire school was created, accurately documenting every architectural detail and structural feature in its current state. This point cloud, rich with data, was then imported into Revit, where a detailed BIM model was developed to replicate the school’s architectural and spatial characteristics precisely.

Each aspect of the school’s architecture, from classroom layouts and corridor dimensions to exterior facades was meticulously recreated in Revit based on the point cloud data. The process required careful attention to detail to ensure that every wall, window, door, and structural element matched the real-world conditions as captured by the scan. The BIM model not only serves as a digital twin of the school but also provides a reliable resource for future renovation, maintenance, and planning activities.

To showcase this modeling process, an animation was created, guiding viewers through the model and highlighting key architectural features. This animation offers an immersive experience, allowing stakeholders to visualize the school’s design and structure from various angles. It provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the model, demonstrating the accuracy and depth of detail achieved in capturing the school’s actual conditions and translating them into a functional, data-rich BIM environment.
